This work of art by Jan Wijnants could be acquired at Sothebys in London in December 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale auction, the work Landscape With Sportsmen Resting By A Path changed hands for GBP 75,650.00 (€ 90,601.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Landscape With Sportsmen Resting By A Path is the most expensive artwork by Jan Wijnants that we have observed at auction so far.
