Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A hunting party resting in a landscape before a blasted tree by Jan Wijnants was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 19,200.00 (€ 22,400.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Wijnants have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape With Sportsmen Resting By A Path in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 75,650.00 (€ 90,601.56).

Die Arbeit A hunting party resting in a landscape before a blasted tree von Jan Wijnants kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 19.200,00 (€ 22.400,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Wijnants auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape With Sportsmen Resting By A Path im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.650,00 (€ 90.601,56).
