Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work An extensive wooded landscape with travellers on a path by Jan Wijnants. The price achieved of GBP 37,750.00 (€ 42,170.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Wijnants - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape With Sportsmen Resting By A Path, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 75,650.00 (€ 90,601.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit An extensive wooded landscape with travellers on a path von Jan Wijnants zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.750,00 (€ 42.170,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Wijnants mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape With Sportsmen Resting By A Path beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für GBP 75.650,00 (€ 90.601,56) versteigert wurde.
