Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Landscape With Cattle Being Driven Along A Country Road by Jan Wijnants for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,036.36). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters: Part II at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Wijnants - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape With Sportsmen Resting By A Path, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 75,650.00 (€ 90,601.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Landscape With Cattle Being Driven Along A Country Road von Jan Wijnants für USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.036,36) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Masters: Part II bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Wijnants mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape With Sportsmen Resting By A Path beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für GBP 75.650,00 (€ 90.601,56) versteigert wurde.
