Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,236.67). Admittedly, works by Jan Wijnants have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape With Sportsmen Resting By A Path in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 75,650.00 (€ 90,601.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dune Landscape With Hunters In The Foreground, A Lake And Mountains Beyond von Jan Wijnants kam im Februar 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.236,67) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Wijnants auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape With Sportsmen Resting By A Path im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.650,00 (€ 90.601,56).
