In December 2013 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work A Wooded Landscape With A Traveller On A Sandy Track by Jan Wijnants. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 20,625.00 (€ 24,808.68), 72% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Wijnants - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape With Sportsmen Resting By A Path, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 75,650.00 (€ 90,601.56).

Im Dezember 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Wooded Landscape With A Traveller On A Sandy Track von Jan Wijnants zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 20.625,00 (€ 24.808,68) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Wijnants mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape With Sportsmen Resting By A Path beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für GBP 75.650,00 (€ 90.601,56) versteigert wurde.
