Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cows At Pasture by Jan Voerman Sr. was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in October 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,360.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Voerman Sr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work East Indian Cress In A Blue Ginger Jar in April 2008 with an auction result of EUR 42,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cows At Pasture von Jan Voerman Sr. wurde im Oktober 2006 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.360,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Voerman Sr. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit East Indian Cress In A Blue Ginger Jar im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 42.250,00.
