Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jan Voerman Sr. could be acquired at Sothebys in Amsterdam in April 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work Dutch A View On The River Ijssel changed hands for EUR 3,750.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Voerman Sr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work East Indian Cress In A Blue Ginger Jar in April 2008 with an auction result of EUR 42,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Voerman Sr. konnte im April 2009 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Dutch A View On The River Ijssel für EUR 3.750,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Voerman Sr. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit East Indian Cress In A Blue Ginger Jar im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 42.250,00.
