Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Aftrekkend onweer: calm day on a riverbank of the IJssel by Jan Voerman Sr.. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 14,400.00 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Voerman Sr. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work East Indian Cress In A Blue Ginger Jar, which sold at auction in April 2008 for EUR 42,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Aftrekkend onweer: calm day on a riverbank of the IJssel von Jan Voerman Sr. zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 14.400,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Voerman Sr. mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit East Indian Cress In A Blue Ginger Jar beobachtet, die im April 2008 für EUR 42.250,00 versteigert wurde.
