Sold at the lower estimate price
In July 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work Laban reconciled with Jacob by Jan Victors. The result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,158.46) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Victors achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ruth And Naomi in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 168,101.13).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Laban reconciled with Jacob von Jan Victors zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.158,46) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Victors erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ruth And Naomi im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 168.101,13).
