In the Old Master & British Works on Paper auction, the work Pharaoh Seeking Council From His Court And Scribes sold for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 48,818.28) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Victors - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ruth And Naomi, which sold at auction in June 2015 for USD 187,500.00 (€ 168,101.13).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Victors erzielte im Juli 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Pharaoh Seeking Council From His Court And Scribes für GBP 43.750,00 (€ 48.818,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Victors mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ruth And Naomi beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für USD 187.500,00 (€ 168.101,13) versteigert wurde.
