In June 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Ruth And Naomi by Jan Victors. The »bidding war« ended at USD 187,500.00 (€ 168,101.13), 56% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Ruth And Naomi the most expensive artwork by Jan Victors that we have observed at auctions so far.
