Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jan Victors could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art auction, the work A Shepherd With His Staff, His Herd Beyond changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,923.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Victors achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ruth And Naomi in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 168,101.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Victors konnte im Januar 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit A Shepherd With His Staff, His Herd Beyond für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.923,93) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Victors erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ruth And Naomi im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 168.101,13).
