Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Traffic by Jan van Heel was sold in the Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2006. The price achieved of EUR 1,440.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van Heel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Clown in December 2002 with an auction result of EUR 16,730.00.

Die Arbeit Traffic von Jan van Heel wurde im Juni 2006 in der Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.440,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan van Heel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Clown im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 16.730,00.
