In March 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries', which included the work Spanish Landscape by Jan van Heel. The auction ended at the price of EUR 5,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan van Heel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Clown, which sold at auction in December 2002 for EUR 16,730.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im März 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries' durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spanish Landscape von Jan van Heel zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 5.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan van Heel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Clown beobachtet, die im Dezember 2002 für EUR 16.730,00 versteigert wurde.
