Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jan van de Cappelle could be acquired at Sothebys in London in July 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale auction, the work Winter Landscape With A Man Fixing A Sled At The Edge Of A Frozen River changed hands for GBP 39,650.00 (€ 45,504.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van de Cappelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A kaag and a smak in a calm, with fishermen pulling in their catch from a rowing-boat in the foreground, a Dutch frigate and other boats beyond in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,592,000.00 (€ 5,210,162.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan van de Cappelle konnte im Juli 2011 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Winter Landscape With A Man Fixing A Sled At The Edge Of A Frozen River für GBP 39.650,00 (€ 45.504,31) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan van de Cappelle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A kaag and a smak in a calm, with fishermen pulling in their catch from a rowing-boat in the foreground, a Dutch frigate and other boats beyond im Juli 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.592.000,00 (€ 5.210.162,09).
