Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Winter Landscape By A Frozen Pond, A Figure Dragging A Pile Of Driftwood And A Mother And Child By The Gate Of A House by Jan van de Cappelle was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 84,872.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van de Cappelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A kaag and a smak in a calm, with fishermen pulling in their catch from a rowing-boat in the foreground, a Dutch frigate and other boats beyond in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,592,000.00 (€ 5,210,162.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Winter Landscape By A Frozen Pond, A Figure Dragging A Pile Of Driftwood And A Mother And Child By The Gate Of A House von Jan van de Cappelle wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A kaag and a smak in a calm, with fishermen pulling in their catch from a rowing-boat in the foreground, a Dutch frigate and other boats beyond im Juli 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.592.000,00 (€ 5.210.162,09).
