Admittedly, works by Jan Sanders van Hemessen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Double Portrait Of A Husband And Wife, Half-Length, Seated At A Table, Playing Tables in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 10,036,000.00 (€ 9,001,704.19).
