Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work The Virgin of Humility by Jan Sanders van Hemessen for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,818.83). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Sanders van Hemessen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Double Portrait Of A Husband And Wife, Half-Length, Seated At A Table, Playing Tables in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 10,036,000.00 (€ 9,001,704.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Virgin of Humility von Jan Sanders van Hemessen für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.818,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Sanders van Hemessen erzielen.
