The work Vertumnus and Pomona, putti decorating a statue of Pan with a swag of fruit, in a landscape by Jan Pauwel Gillemans the Younger was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2000. Here, the upper estimate of NLG 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for NLG 21,063.60 (€ 9,867.96). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Pauwel Gillemans the Younger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Still Life With A Basket Of Fruit And A Parakeet Upon A Ledge Draped With A Damask Beside An Ormolu Mounted Porphyry Vase, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 28,443.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von NLG 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für NLG 21.063,60 (€ 9.867,96) einen neuen Besitzer.
