In April 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A Still Life With A Lobster Together With Grapes, Melons, Figs Pommegranates And Various Other Fruits, Together With An Urn And Various Bowls In A Landscape by Jan Pauwel Gillemans the Younger. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,298.68), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Pauwel Gillemans the Younger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Still Life With A Basket Of Fruit And A Parakeet Upon A Ledge Draped With A Damask Beside An Ormolu Mounted Porphyry Vase, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 28,443.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.298,68) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Pauwel Gillemans the Younger mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Still Life With A Basket Of Fruit And A Parakeet Upon A Ledge Draped With A Damask Beside An Ormolu Mounted Porphyry Vase beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 28.443,98) versteigert wurde.
