Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for Vertical Blue by Jan Lebenstein was sold in the Living with Art auction at Christies in New York in August 2017. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,104.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Lebenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure Xviii in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 87,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study for Vertical Blue von Jan Lebenstein wurde im August 2017 in der Auktion Living with Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.104,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Lebenstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure Xviii im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 87.500,00.
