In July 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work A riverlandscape in summer by Jan Knikker Jun.. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,912.00 20% above the upper estimate. With this result, A riverlandscape in summer is even the most expensive work of art by Jan Knikker Jun. that we have observed at auctions so far.
