Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The flowermarket with the Munt beyond, Amsterdam by Jan Knikker Jun. was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2006. It changed hands for a price of EUR 780.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Knikker Jun. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work By the waterside, which sold at auction in June 2002 for EUR 1,912.00.

Die Arbeit The flowermarket with the Munt beyond, Amsterdam von Jan Knikker Jun. wurde im Januar 2006 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 780,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 600,00 – 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Knikker Jun. mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit By the waterside beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für EUR 1.912,00 versteigert wurde.
