In January 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Summer's day in Hattem by Jan Knikker Jun.. The auction ended at the price of EUR 900.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 700.00 – 900.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Knikker Jun. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work By the waterside, which sold at auction in June 2002 for EUR 1,912.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Januar 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summer's day in Hattem von Jan Knikker Jun. zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 900,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 700,00 – 900,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Knikker Jun. mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit By the waterside beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für EUR 1.912,00 versteigert wurde.
