In September 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures, which included the work A view of the Montelbaantoren, Amsterdam by Jan Knikker Jun.. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 1,625.00. Other works by Jan Knikker Jun. have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 1,912.00 in June 2002 for the work By the waterside.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of the Montelbaantoren, Amsterdam von Jan Knikker Jun. zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 1.625,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Jan Knikker Jun. haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.912,00 im Juni 2002 für die Arbeit By the waterside beobachtet.
