Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work A Park Landscape With A Musical Party Outside An Italianate Villa by Jan Josef Horemans the Elder. The price achieved of EUR 10,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Josef Horemans the Elder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Four Seasons in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 46,160.95).

Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Park Landscape With A Musical Party Outside An Italianate Villa von Jan Josef Horemans the Elder zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 10.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Josef Horemans the Elder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Four Seasons im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 46.160,95).
