In March last year Bonhams in London held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work Winter landscape by Jan Jacob Spohler. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,650.00 (€ 9,069.94), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Jacob Spohler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A winter landscape with numerous skaters on a frozen waterway, Dordrecht in the distance in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 156,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Winter landscape von Jan Jacob Spohler zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.650,00 (€ 9.069,94) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Jacob Spohler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A winter landscape with numerous skaters on a frozen waterway, Dordrecht in the distance im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 156.000,00.
