Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A river landscape in summer with a ferry by Jan Jacob Spohler was sold in the Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2016. The price achieved of EUR 6,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Jacob Spohler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A winter landscape with numerous skaters on a frozen waterway, Dordrecht in the distance in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 156,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A river landscape in summer with a ferry von Jan Jacob Spohler wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Jacob Spohler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A winter landscape with numerous skaters on a frozen waterway, Dordrecht in the distance im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 156.000,00.
