Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jan Jacob Spohler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2021. In the British and European Art auction, the work Skaters on a frozen river sold for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 47,711.61) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Jacob Spohler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A winter landscape with numerous skaters on a frozen waterway, Dordrecht in the distance, which sold at auction in April 2006 for EUR 156,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Jacob Spohler erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and European Art wurde die Arbeit Skaters on a frozen river für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 47.711,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Jacob Spohler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A winter landscape with numerous skaters on a frozen waterway, Dordrecht in the distance beobachtet, die im April 2006 für EUR 156.000,00 versteigert wurde.
