Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism, which included the work A ferry crossing in summer by Jan Jacob Spohler. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Jacob Spohler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A winter landscape with numerous skaters on a frozen waterway, Dordrecht in the distance in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 156,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism durch, in der auch die Arbeit A ferry crossing in summer von Jan Jacob Spohler zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Jacob Spohler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A winter landscape with numerous skaters on a frozen waterway, Dordrecht in the distance im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 156.000,00.
