Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wayzata Window by Jan Dibbets was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2018. The price achieved of EUR 17,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Dibbets - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shutterspeed Piece - Konrad Fisher's Gallery I, which sold at auction in November 2019 for EUR 68,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wayzata Window von Jan Dibbets wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 17.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Dibbets mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shutterspeed Piece - Konrad Fisher's Gallery I beobachtet, die im November 2019 für EUR 68.750,00 versteigert wurde.
