Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Sonesta Koepel Amsterdam (Sonesta Cupola Amsterdam) by Jan Dibbets. The price achieved of EUR 10,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Dibbets have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shutterspeed Piece - Konrad Fisher's Gallery I in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 68,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sonesta Koepel Amsterdam (Sonesta Cupola Amsterdam) von Jan Dibbets zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 10.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Dibbets auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shutterspeed Piece - Konrad Fisher's Gallery I im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 68.750,00.
