The work Portrait Of A Man Seated At A Table In His Study by Jan de Braij was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2016. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,823.24) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan de Braij have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Violin Player Accompanying Two Young Singers in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 177,208.02).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Man Seated At A Table In His Study von Jan de Braij wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.823,24) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan de Braij auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Violin Player Accompanying Two Young Singers im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 177.208,02).
