Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mercury And Aglauros At The Door Of Herse'S Chamber by Jan de Braij was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2017. The price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,387.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan de Braij have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Violin Player Accompanying Two Young Singers in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 177,208.02).
