Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work The Bath of Bathsheba by Jan de Braij for USD 170,500.00 (€ 133,161.51). This price was achieved in the auction Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Jan de Braij have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2015 by the work A Violin Player Accompanying Two Young Singers at GBP 125,000.00 (€ 177,208.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Bath of Bathsheba von Jan de Braij für USD 170.500,00 (€ 133.161,51) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Jan de Braij wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juli 2015 die Arbeit A Violin Player Accompanying Two Young Singers mit GBP 125.000,00 (€ 177.208,02).
