Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Still-Life With A Lobster, Fruit And Blue And White ‘Kraak’ Dishes, From The Ming Dynasty, Wanli Period, All Laid Upon A Table Partly Covered In Cloth, A Large Roemer Filled With White Wine On A Casket, A Façon-De-Venise Glass Also Filled With White Wine by Jan Davidsz. de Heem. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500,000.00 – 800,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 506,500.00 (€ 638,855.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Davidsz. de Heem achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A banquet still life in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 5,766,000.00 (€ 6,441,135.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still-Life With A Lobster, Fruit And Blue And White ‘Kraak’ Dishes, From The Ming Dynasty, Wanli Period, All Laid Upon A Table Partly Covered In Cloth, A Large Roemer Filled With White Wine On A Casket, A Façon-De-Venise Glass Also Filled With White Wine von Jan Davidsz. de Heem zur Versteigerung kam.
