Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings: Part I, which included the work Still Life Of Fruits, Nuts, Oysters, A Lobster, Insects And A Snail On A Ledge With Various Vessels by Jan Davidsz. de Heem. It changed hands for a price of USD 785,000.00 (€ 695,305.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Davidsz. de Heem have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A banquet still life in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 5,766,000.00 (€ 6,441,135.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings: Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life Of Fruits, Nuts, Oysters, A Lobster, Insects And A Snail On A Ledge With Various Vessels von Jan Davidsz. de Heem zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 785.000,00 (€ 695.305,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Davidsz. de Heem auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A banquet still life im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.766.000,00 (€ 6.441.135,90).
