The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 334,000.00 (€ 308,345.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Davidsz. de Heem achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A banquet still life in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 5,766,000.00 (€ 6,441,135.90).
