Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sunlit forest by Jan Adam Zandleven was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2000. It achieved a price of NLG 1,989.34 (€ 846.31), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 24%. Admittedly, works by Jan Adam Zandleven have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A blossoming tree in January 2001 with an auction result of NLG 15,275.00 (€ 6,684.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sunlit forest von Jan Adam Zandleven wurde im März 2000 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von NLG 1.989,34 (€ 846,31) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 24%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Adam Zandleven auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A blossoming tree im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 15.275,00 (€ 6.684,04).
