Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two works: (i–ii) Untitled from the series Child Soldier by Jammie Holmes was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 21,590.00 (€ 20,398.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jammie Holmes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work First Birthday in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 158,561.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two works: (i–ii) Untitled from the series Child Soldier von Jammie Holmes wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 21.590,00 (€ 20.398,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jammie Holmes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit First Birthday im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 158.561,59).
