This artwork by Jammie Holmes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2021. In the Post War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Frozen Cup sold for GBP 62,500.00 (€ 73,294.21) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jammie Holmes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work First Birthday, which sold at auction in May 2021 for HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 158,561.59).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jammie Holmes erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Frozen Cup für GBP 62.500,00 (€ 73.294,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jammie Holmes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit First Birthday beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 158.561,59) versteigert wurde.
