Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Girl with Dove) by Jamil Naqsh was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in September this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 15,120.00 (€ 14,285.71). Admittedly, works by Jamil Naqsh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Reclining Nude) in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 134,181.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Girl with Dove) von Jamil Naqsh wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 15.120,00 (€ 14.285,71) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jamil Naqsh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Reclining Nude) im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 134.181,31).
