Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Plate 277 by Jamil Naqsh was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online auction at Bonhams in Sydney in August this year. The price achieved of GBP 3,520.00 (€ 4,113.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jamil Naqsh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Reclining Nude) in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 134,181.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Plate 277 von Jamil Naqsh wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online bei Bonhams in Sydney versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.520,00 (€ 4.113,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jamil Naqsh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Reclining Nude) im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 134.181,31).
