Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Woman & Dove) by Jamil Naqsh. The price achieved of GBP 23,040.00 (€ 26,698.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jamil Naqsh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Reclining Nude) in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 134,181.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Woman & Dove) von Jamil Naqsh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.040,00 (€ 26.698,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jamil Naqsh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Reclining Nude) im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 134.181,31).
