Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Back) by Jamil Naqsh. The price achieved of GBP 11,520.00 (€ 13,407.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jamil Naqsh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Reclining Nude) in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 134,181.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Back) von Jamil Naqsh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.520,00 (€ 13.407,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jamil Naqsh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Reclining Nude) im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 134.181,31).
