Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction Maritime & Naval Battles (Pictures), which included the work The America'S Cup Jubilee Regatta, Round The Island Race, 21St August, 2001: Moonbeam of Fife And Zaca A Te Moana Cross-Tacking In Osborne Bay by Jamie Medlin. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,910.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jamie Medlin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mariquita racing to windward during the Pendennis Cup, 2010 in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 57,494.33).

Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Maritime & Naval Battles (Pictures) durch, in der auch die Arbeit The America'S Cup Jubilee Regatta, Round The Island Race, 21St August, 2001: Moonbeam of Fife And Zaca A Te Moana Cross-Tacking In Osborne Bay von Jamie Medlin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.910,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jamie Medlin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mariquita racing to windward during the Pendennis Cup, 2010 im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 57.494,33).
