Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Art, which included the work Mariquita in light airs during Thursday's race of Les Voiles de St. Tropez, 2007 by Jamie Medlin. The price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,696.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jamie Medlin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mariquita racing to windward during the Pendennis Cup, 2010 in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 57,494.33).
