Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Royal Southampton Yacht Club'S J-Class Solent Regatta, 18Th - 20Th July 2012: Lionheart Powering Downwind Ahead Of Velsheda, Rainbow And Ranger by Jamie Medlin was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2014. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,618.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jamie Medlin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mariquita racing to windward during the Pendennis Cup, 2010, which sold at auction in November 2011 for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 57,494.33).
