Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Emerson, 2007 by James Welling was sold in the Collection Marion Lambert auction at Christies in Paris in May 2021. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 6,875.00. Admittedly, works by James Welling have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 04101403 in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,835.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Emerson, 2007 von James Welling wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Collection Marion Lambert bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 6.875,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Welling auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 04101403 im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.835,55).
